Fourth-generation K-pop girl group ITZY will be coming back for the second time to the country as they are set to perform in January 2023 as part of their CHECKMATE world tour.
The K-pop girl group made the announcement on their social media pages earlier today, October 17.
Aside from the Philippines, ITZY will also be making stops in other Asian countries such as Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.
The girl group is set to perform at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on January 14, 2023.
No further details such as ticket prices and seating arrangements have been announced as of writing.
ITZY also announced their comeback on October 17, bringing twice the treat to fans. The girl group will be dropping a new, pre-release English single this week.
The title of their upcoming single is Boys Like You. It will be released on October 21, 1 PM KST. The girl group unveiled a Halloween-inspired poster as part of its promotional teaser.
Apart from their surprise comeback, ITZY is currently preparing for the first leg of their tour which is set to begin on October 26 in Los Angeles. They will be going around different cities in the US before kicking off the second leg of the world tour.
ITZY debuted in February 2019 with their debut song, “Dalla Dalla”, which topped the South Korean music charts as soon as it was released. They continued to make hit songs such as “Not Shy,” “Wannabe,” ”Mafia in the Morning,” and “Icy.”
ITZY is considered one of the leaders of the fourth-generation wave of K-Pop along with NCT, TXT, Enhypen, Aespa, The Boyz, and many more.
