Saab Magalona couldn’t help but turn emotional as her son Pancho Gerardo marked his first time to crawl since he was born in 2018.
In her vlog posted earlier last week, Saab shared how her son managed to crawl on his own to get the remote control for their television at home.
In an Instagram post, Saab said Pancho becomes inspired to do his best when he does exercises with purpose.
“He doesn’t enjoy exercise/therapy just for the sake of it. When we give him something to do like ‘can you throw this in the trash?’ or ‘can you open the door for papa?’ that’s when he enthusiastically starts crawling or walking with our help,” Saab shared.
Iya Villania was among those who expressed their glee after seeing Pancho show another sign of progress.
“Aww… proud of his progress, Saab!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 props to you guys!!!” Iya wrote.
This is not the first time Saab documented Pancho’s achievements during exercises for his therapy. In fact, Saab has made tons of videos which has inspired not just parents who have children with cerebral palsy, but netizens as well.
In one of her vlogs, Saab shared the story behind the condition of Pancho whom they call their “miracle baby.”
Saab gave birth to Pancho in 2018. She and her husband Jim Bacarro were supposed to welcome twins but eventually lost their daughter Luna Isabel on the same day.
The daughter of OPM icon Francis Magalona endured the pain of seeing her son stay at the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for months.
Apart from taking on acting roles on television and hosting gigs for events, Saab is also known as one of the co-lead vocalists of the band Cheats.
