Former actress Bangs Garcia took to social media to mark the anniversary of her marriage to her Filipino-British husband, Lloydi Birchmore.

The couple tied the knot in a civil ceremony in September 2016. They then exchanged vows in a secret church wedding and in another ceremony held in Boracay, where they first met.

"It was our Civil Wedding Anniversary in September 2021, Church Wedding Anniversary last Sunday, and Beach Wedding Anniversary last Monday. I can’t help but reflect on the blissful moments life has brought to me and Lloyd since crossing paths in Boracay once upon a time. Now, we are 5 years married, WOOD you believe it?! 45 more years to come and we will alter into gold!" Bangs wrote on Instagram.

Though happy with her marriage, Bangs acknowledged that, just like with most married couples, hers isn't perfect.

"It may seem like we got it all figured out because that’s what social media is most known for—but nope! In reality, it’s not easy, it’s never gonna be easy, that’s too good to be true. We are still work in progress and I don’t think that will ever end for any couple, you know?" she said.

"We will always discover something new about each other, every day we could make mistakes, we learn, we forgive, every day we learn to embrace each other’s differences, every day we fall in love with each other, over and over and over again."

Bangs said this is the beauty in marriage: "We get to do that for the rest of our lives! For as long as we will remain a Team of Loyalty, Compassion, Trust, Resilience and with well rooted faith in God then we can surely weather the worst of storms whilst we are here on earth."

She went on: "Every relationship is on a different path though. Every marriage is unique, we can always learn something new from other couples too no matter how long or short they’ve been together. We should always bear in mind that marriage is a journey that involves great effort, we can’t expect things to go smoothly all the time or just give up on each other whenever things get tough. Always compromise, be each other’s rock, respect each other, appreciate each other even in the most simple ways."

To end her post, Bangs said she thanks God for blessing her with her husband, whom she described as an "exceptionally amazing" one and a "wonderful" father to their kids.

"I love you so much @lloydiboi24!" she said. "Thank you for everything!"
