Three members of the South Korean group iKON tested positive for COVID-19, YG Entertainment confirmed on Sunday, January 23.
These members are Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, and Donghyuk.
“Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, and Donghyuk initially tested positive on Saturday through COVID-19 self-test kits, which they used after experiencing ‘mild cold symptoms,’” YG Entertainment said in a statement as translated by South Korean entertainment news site Soompi.
The entire group then underwent RT-PCR testing, but Bobby, Junhoe, and Chanwoo tested negative.
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment reassured fans that they will extend whatever support is necessary for the speedy recovery of the group.
"We will be unsparing in our support of not only Kim Jinhwan, Song Yunhyeong, and Kim Donghyuk’s speedy recovery, but also the health and safety of all our artists," YG Entertainment said.
Meanwhile, iKON has temporarily halted their scheduled activities after the boys tested positive for COVID-19.
Having debuted in 2015, iKON’s hits include “LOVE SCENARIO,” “BEST FRIEND,” “Why Why Why,” and “KILLING ME.”
