When lock-in taping for The Broken Marriage Vow first started in Baguio City last year, Zaijian Jaranilla saod there was still an adjustment period for him and his new co-stars.

So winork namin yun hindi lang sa sarili namin, nagtrabaho kami as a team kaya yung mga challenges na yun madali namin nalagpasan,” he recalled.

The Broken Marriage Vow actor explained how crucial his role is to the storyline.\

Playing the role of Zanjoe Marudo and Jodi Sta. Maria’s only son Gio in the series was an enjoyable experience for the former child actor. In previous interviews, the older stars were all praises for Zaijian’s acting skills.

Zaijian shared that he was inspired by Zanjoe’s cool demeanor. “Si kuya Zanjoe first time namin magka-work and sobrang galing niya, wala akong negative na masasabi sa kanya on and off camera. Sobrang cool niya. Feeling ko nakabuo ako ng isang pamilya talaga,” he said.

As for his onscreen mom, Zaijian was thankful for her warm personality and nurturing nature. “Wala akong masabi sa ibang cast kasi parang walang tapon. Sobrang gagaling nilang lahat. Sobrang professional. Sobrang saludo ako sa kanya,” he explained.
