Television host Pia Guanio and her youngest child, Brooklyn, have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
In an Instagram post, Pia said she and her four-year-old daughter were diagnosed with COVID-19 just a day after her husband, Steeve Mago, and their eldest child, Scarlet, were cleared of the disease.
"Together in sickness and in health," she said. "But praise God that we are having it easy! And we got the best nurses who already know what to do to care for us."
It was on January 12 when Pia first revealed her family's ordeal with COVID-19 also via an Instagram post.
"My husband @steevemago and daughter @iamscarletmago are both isolating after testing positive for COVID-19. Because of God’s grace and great love both of them are experiencing very mild symptoms and are in good spirits. Thank you LORD! We miss them badly but we are grateful they are healing and recovering well," she said at the time.
Pia, 47, is one of the local celebrities who recently announced that they have been infected with COVID-19, amid a fresh surge of new cases in the country.
Others were Troy Montero, Aubrey Miles, Danica Sotto, Bianca Gonzalez, Chynna Ortaleza, Kean Cipriano, Eric "Eruption" Tai, Sitti Navaro, and Morissette Amon.
Currently, there are a total of 270,728 active cases of COVID-19 locally, 22,958 of which were recorded just this Wednesday, January 19.
