Gerphil Flores, the German-Filipino singer who rose to fame when she joined the reality talent competition Asia's Got Talent in 2015, is now a mother.

In her recent Instagram update, Gerphil announced that she has given birth to her first child in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Starting the year 2022 with a new chapter in my life. My husband and I are thankful and blessed to have our little bundle of joy. Thank you Lord!" she wrote, along with the hashtag #BabyBoy.

Gerphil married her husband, Brad Libanan, in a ceremony held at the Manila Cathedral in July 2019.

"I finally married my best friend! I thank God that He made our paths cross. I'm still in awe knowing that our promises to each other are now officially sealed with God's blessing," she said at that time.

The couple announced that they were getting married in July 2018, after nine years of being in a relationship.

Gerphil, 31, made headlines in 2015 when she joined the inaugural season of Asia's Got Talent and received the golden buzzer with her performance of "Speak Softly, Love" from the movie The Godfather.

The classical singer finished second-runner up in the competition, and was later dubbed the "Asia's Golden Girl" of local showbiz.

Since her stint on Asia's Got Talent, Gerphil has continued performing and recording original songs. Just last December, she released a single titled "Santa Lucia", a Neapolitan song that talks about the beautiful waterfront district in Naples, Italy.
