More than three months after she first left the country to go to the US, KC Concepcion shared with her YouTube followers that she has finally found the perfect apartment for her to move into in the area of West Hollywood, California. Last month, KC first revealed that she was extending her stay abroad and going apartment hunting in Los Angeles.
In her latest vlog with the title “LIFE LATELY | EXCLUSIVE!” uploaded last September 8, KC shared everything from her first travel in 15 months since the start of the lockdown in the Philippines.
“Grabe dito sa LA hindi ko kaya dalhin yung buong lifestyle ko sa Philippines dito sa Los Angeles. Siyempre Amerika ‘to ibang bansa but I love being able to discover myself, discover this place, all over again. And like I said, I’m always up for new adventures naman. Ginusto ko ‘to so ngayon nasa Amerika na tayo and it’s a Filipina in America! I knew na medyo matatagalan ako dito sa States. Medyo hindi ako makakauwi agad agad dahil nga sa pag-aaral ko dito so because I knew that I would have to stay a little longer, I decided to go apartment hunting. So yes, kakalipat ko lang sa bahay sa Manila and now meron na akong hahanaping apartment ulit dito,” KC shared in the vlog.
The only daughter of Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta shared in the vlog what she was looking for in an apartment. “Ang hinahanap kong location is yung makakapaglakad ako dahil hindi pa ako nag-da-drive here. Dapat walking distance yung grocery, walking distance lang yung pharmacy or yung mga kailangan,” she said.
After moving into her new place before buying new furniture, KC showed how she chose to sleep in an air bed for the meantime. “I’m starting out fresh here in the States and I can’t wait to see what America has in store for me,” she added.
KC also gave a glimpse into her weekly routine in LA which includes a visit to a medical spa for facials and other beauty treatments. The Avec Moi jewelry designer and owner also experienced watching her first baseball game at the iconic Dodger Stadium also located in LA. KC admitted to being initially overwhelmed at the number of people in the crowd.
“This is typical L.A life. First time kong manunuod ng baseball so I think I need to relax and experience this for the first time with some friends. Guys takot na takot ako. Double mask ito at saka shades tingnan niyo ang daming tao. But at least we’re outdoors and hindi ako magtatanggal ng mask!” she said.

Before ending the vlog, KC shared more of her thoughts about choosing to be based abroad while she is continuing her gemology studies in LA.
“Iba rin naman ang buhay Amerika. Iba rin talaga ang buhay mag-isa. Siyempre dito ibang bansa pa rin ‘to and even if I’ve studied in American schools most of my life, it’s still different to be living in a place that you’re not really not familiar with as a local. Every time pupunta kami ng Los Angeles ng family ko it was just normally for vacation, for summer school nung bata ako. My cousins lived here and nag-su-summer school ako every year. And now that talagang nag-decide na ako na mag-aral ulit, eto napadpad ako ng LA, napadpad ako ng Amerika, and I’m making the most of my time here. Making the most of quarantine. So hopefully tama yung naging decision ko na pumunta dito and tapusin yung pag-aaral ko sa gemology. So guys wish me luck or pray for me, send me good vibes, send me light and love, and I’m sending it back. I hope everyone’s doing well,” she said.
