For her 35th birthday this year, London-based singer Rachelle Ann Go enjoyed a happy celebration with her family as well as making her stage comeback this year when she reprised her role as Fantine in the Les Miserables concert which  started the same day.

After first playing Fantine in Les Miserables in 2015, Rachelle has not wavered in her excitement to bringing the famous role of a prostitute who ends up becoming a single mother through the years to life.

In another post, she showed gratitude to her fans. “Fantine for the nth time.. It might be a while until I’m in costume again! So might as well do a photoshoot What an amazing birthday treat to do @lesmizofficial concert last week for 6 shows only!!! I was so scared to do it since I didn’t know how I’m going to manage my time with Lukas. I told myself I couldn’t do it. How will I sing, I never sleep! But praise God we did it! Always do it scared right?! It all worked out :) Thank you to everyone who came to watch and to all the Filipinos who said hi after the show!!! ”

In her latest post, Rachelle revealed that she was able to bring along her then five-month old baby Lukas Judah and husband Martin Spies to the show. She wrote, “I was able to bring my little fam to the theatre! Although Lukas didn’t watch me as Fantine in Les Miz Concert because he’s still too young (at baka umiyak), he waited patiently backstage while his Papa Martin watched the show and for me to feed him He met the cast too and took loads of photos.”

How do you work with no sleep and be a mama at the same time?  Well it’s amazing that we can do it right? I only did 6 shows and enjoyed every second of it but I think I’m staying home with Lukas for now,” she added.

Currently based in London with her husband and son, Rachelle first started performing in the UK in 2014 via the West End revival run of Miss Saigon before landing the role of Fantine in Les Miserables. She also played the role of Elizabeth Shuyler Hamilton in the West End production of Hamilton in 2017.
