In a video shared on TikTok, the 24-year-old actress revealed that she lined up at the wrong district.

Maris arrived at the place of registration at around two in the morning only to find out nearly five hours later that she had been lining up at the wrong district all along.

"So pumila ako ng mga 2:30 a.m. Sobrang nagmadali ako, sa sobrang pagmamadali ako maling bag ang nadala ako. Tapos uy mayroong reporter, siyempre automatic na diyan ang kumaway,” she said.

She went on: “Tapos 'yun sunrise na, mahaba-haba pa ito three more hours to go so napaupo na lang talaga ako sa sahig. Pang-number 24 ako. Pero noong 8 a.m. nalaman ko na maling district pala ang pinilahan ko. So ang galing lang talaga. Wala ng slot. So umuwi na lang ako.”

But Maris didn’t give up and went to the right registration area the next day.

"Cut to next day, 2:30 a.m. pa rin ako pumila bad trip ako diyan pero okay lang. Ayan nakapasok na ako sa mall finally may aircon thank you God! So anyway sa lahat ng gustong magparehistro maaga dapat kayong dumating. Mayroon pa tayong few days left so magparehistro na kayo guys. Thank you. ‘Yun lang," Maris said.

A week ago, Maris called on the COMELEC to extend the voter’s registration.

Maris, in a tweet, wrote: “Sana talaga i-extend ang registration kasi ang hirap ng 300 slots lang per day tapos 4 days a week lang dito. Please extend voter’s registration!”
