“With great sadness, I would like to inform you that my Miss Universe Philippines journey has been cut short. I got Dengue Fever earlier this week and my doctors advised that I would need more time to recover my strength,” sambit ng Zambales beauty sa Instagram post.

“I am forever indebted to the people who helped me in this journey,” aniya sa post kasunod ang mga taong naging gabay niya sa pangarap sana na korona.

“And thank you so much Miss Universe Philippines organization. I have grown so much. I hope to see everyone, in a bigger stage and much brighter circumstances in the future. I am Joanna Marie Rabe, your Miss Universe Philippines - Zambales 2021 Maraming Salamat po!

“It breaks my heart that I won’t be able to formally compete in the Miss Universe Philippines 2021. Even before meeting the MUPh team and co-candidates, I had tested positive for COVID-19,” bahagi ng social media post ng kandidata.

Ani pa ng pambato ng Davao City: “I kept quiet hoping that my situation would change and retesting would result with negative results. Unfortunately, this is not yet my time to compete in the final stretch of the MUPh pageant,” sambit pa ng kandidata.

“The worst part about this experience is not about being positive. It was about those negative individuals who try to drag you down or spread false information while you’re trying to do your best. Despite this short but very exciting journey, I came across with so many amazing people in different industries. They had supported me in the most special ways from the beginning up until now. Your efforts are immensely treasured,” pahayag ng kandidata.
