In a rare moment, former Miss Universe Catriona Gray sported a shorter hairdo as she appeared on the cover of local fashion magazine Mega for its September 2021 issue.
Photographed by Jerick Sanchez, Catriona can be seen wearing a double-breasted blazer, white cutout turtle neck top, gold graphic skirt, silver earrings, and exotic Capucines all by Louis Vuitton.
For her other shots, the beauty queen sported the same short hair, while posing in other outfits from the Louis Vuitton FW21 and Capucines Collections.
For the shoot, Catriona was styled by Lyn Alumno, with hair by Brent Sales and makeup by Jelly Eugenio.
In her interview with Mega, Catriona said she plans to focus on her music career this year.
She also talked about wanting to collaborate with fellow Filipina and lookalike Olivia Rodrigo, whom she is admittedly a huge fan of.
"It’s just so nice to see a Filipina be so successful with her music. If I get the opportunity to meet her one day, that would be amazing," she said.
On working with the "drivers license" hitmaker, Catriona said: "That would be really cool, I think I’d die.”
Catriona, 27, rose to fame after winning the Miss Universe pageant in 2018, making her the fourth Filipina to bring home the coveted crown.
Since then, the Filipina beauty queen—who is a music graduate—has been vocal about her plans to pursue a music career.
In 2018, she released an original song, titled "We're In This Together," for the children's welfare organization Young Focus. More recently, she collaborated with R&B artist JayR to record a fresh rendition of the '90s hit song "Angel of Mine” and released her own version of the song “R.Y.F. (Raise Your Flag).”
