Aside from being a professional basketball player and a businessman, James Yap is now a certified vlogger after launching his official YouTube channel last September 16 along with his very first vlog. In his first upload, the 39-year-old cager shared a typical training day in his life as part of the Philippine Basketball Association’s (PBA) season 46. James showed how and his teammates from his current team, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, were adjusting to being in a bubble as part of safety precautions.

James started off the almost 11-minute vlog from the compound where he is currently staying along with his PBA teammates.

Minsan umaga, minsan hapon, minsan ganitong oras, gabi,” he shared.

At one point in the vlog, James admitted to making boo-boo while making his first vlog by forgetting to turn on the record button at one point while vlogging. Pinagtawanan ako,” he revealed.

As part of the safety protocols, James said there are challenges to not being allowed to go home after practice. He also shared the difficulties of being an athlete recovering from an injury.

“Hindi kami makalabas. Ang ginagawa namin practice at bahay lang. Ganun talaga. Six months walang laro. Hirap pala talaga pag na-injure. Matanda na, matagal ang recovery. Pero mahirap talaga pag may injury. Nawawala sa timing. Gusto ng utak, ayaw sumunod ng katawan. Kaya kailangan papa-condition talaga. Hindi puwedeng babalik ng hindi 100%. Pero ngayon medyo okay na,” he said.
