Film producer Neil Arce has gotten a new tattoo in honor of his wife, actress Angel Locsin.

In a vlog uploaded on their YouTube channel, Neil shared a look at the special tattoo — a pair of angel wings on his chest, which took almost four hours to complete.

"First time ko magpa-tattoo for a girl. For my wife, siyempre. And I will only do that for my wife because I know I'll be with her forever," he said.

"Sana matuwa si Angel sa ginawa ko. Kasi naniniwala ako na may chance din na magagalit siya 'pag nakita niya 'yung napakalaking tattoo ko," he added. "Pero this is all for the love of my wife. I want to put her in my body forever."

Neil now has a total of 12 tattoos, including this most recent addition.

His latest ink was done by artist Pablo Tobias of P&P Tattoo.

In his vlog, Neil also encouraged everyone to support local artists especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Ako kasi 'pag artists, 'di ko tinatawaran 'yung work nila kasi art nila 'yun, eh. And especially ngayong pandemic, gusto natin as much as possible, lahat ng pwedeng kumita, kumita, kasi mahirap talaga ngayon. Maraming takot na magpa-tattoo, maraming takot pa gumalaw, maraming walang trabaho. So siyempre kailangan suportahan natin 'yung mga local artists," he said.

He also shared his thoughts about tattoos, saying it is a form of art and that people should be more open-minded and accepting of it.

"For me, tattoo is an art form. Sabi nga ni Myke Sambajon (tattoo artist), it's the hardest form of art kasi siyempre ang canvas mo is a living person. 'Di ako magtataka kung isang araw punong puno na 'to pero as of now sinigurado ko naman na lahat siya may meaning sa buhay ko," he said.

"[Sana] maging open na ang mga tao sa mga taong may tattoo kasi siyempre para sa akin lalo na, accessory ko 'yan eh. Tsaka ini-immortalize ko 'yung mga bagay sa buhay ko through art in my body," he added.
