Just in time for her 37th birthday, television host and vlogger Mariel Rodriguez achieved another social media milestone as she hit one million subscribers on YouTube.
Mariel, who started uploading videos on her channel in October 2012, shared the exciting news with her 3.6 million followers on Instagram over the weekend.
"What an amazing birthday gift you guyssss!!!!!!!!! Thank youuuu salamat na maraming marami!!!!!!" she said in her post.
"To everyone who subscribed, to those who watch my vlogs, and to those who have supported me since Day 1…Thank you @robinhoodpadilla @mariaisabelladepadilla @gabrieladepadilla. Thank you!!!! To my digital team… cheers!!! We did it!!!" she added.
Though her YouTube channel has been existing for eight years, it was only in 2019 when Mariel started actively uploading vlogs. As an official vlogger, her first entry was the gender reveal party she and her husband, action star Robin Padilla, had for their second daughter, Gabriela.
Since then, the TV host has released a number of vlogs on the video-sharing site, mostly about cooking, her collections, and her life as a mother and a wife.
On her YouTube channel, Mariel said she decided to become a vlogger to show others "what it feels like to be a mother, how exciting and overwhelming it is."
She also said that through her vlogs, she hopes to inspire other moms, soon to be moms, and even fathers who "value the importance of taking really good care of themselves and their families."
To date, Mariel's entire channel has garnered a total of 48 million views.
