After releasing his latest music video online “Muling Tanggapin” last month, singer and actor Carlos Agassi shared some reflections from the song which deals with mental health. In his Instagram post last August 4, the 41-year-old actor shared his thoughts on depression.

He wrote,

“DEPRESSION IS NOT A JOKE!

“Depressed? It’s all in the mind.”

“Ang drama mo naman.”

“Baka malungkot ka lang.”

“Nag iinarte lang yan.”

“Depressed ba yan?

Try mo magpaka busy.”

“Uso kasi madepressed kaya nakigaya ka.”

Mga salitang naririnig natin kapag may taong depressed. Many of us know how it feels. But don’t let people drag you down with their judgement. People who don’t care about you will always see you for your mistakes and not for your success in life. While people who care about you will always understand you.

It’s not something that you can get away with just one moment. It’s like being scarred and tied at the same time.

Carlos shared that his newest song is a collaboration with his non-showbiz girlfriend Sarina Yamamoto who wrote and directed the music video and also makes a brief appearance at the end of the song. Before ending his post, Carlos urged his followers to take the issue of mental health more seriously.

Depression is real! Tell your friends and family that you love them the most! They might need you, before it’s too late. As the song ‘Muling Tanggapin’ wants to tell us, when you make the wrong decisions and get lost in life, God will never leave you. He will always be at your side. Trust God’s timing. 🙏🏻”

Carlos Agassi’s original song “Muling Tanggapin” is now available on music streaming platforms Spotify and Apple Music.
