Nadine Samonte thanked those who prayed for her family during a difficult time in their lives due to various health issues.
Nadine, who is pregnant with her third child, earlier requested prayers from her online followers as she revealed that her five-year-old daughter Heather had to undergo eye surgery, while her husband, businessman Richard Chua, was scheduled for an angiogram.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Thursday, August 5, Nadine expressed her gratitude over the successful operation of her daughter, who was diagnosed with alternating exotropia.
"I just want to share our story. My daughter was diagnosed with Alternating Exotropia in both eyes and needs surgery to correct it habang bata pa because it's becoming worse and naaapektuhan na ang activities niya. She is so strong and I'm so proud of her. She is still in the stage of recovering right now," she said.
According to medical website Healthline, exotropia is "a condition in which one or both eyes turn outward away from the nose."
"It’s commonly diagnosed early in life, although it can affect anyone at any age. In fact, exotropia accounts for up to 25 percent of all eye misalignments in young children."
Meanwhile, Nadine, who previously revealed she was dealing with a difficult pregnancy, also happily shared that everything went well during her recent prenatal checkup.
As for her husband, the result of his angiogram came back all clear, according to the former actress.
"My husband had his angiogram. I know the feeling because this happened last [time] 6 years ago and to our surprise he had so many blockages that time kaya nagkaroon na siya ng stents and na-angioplasty na siya before kaya 'yung stress level ko was very high. Kasi I was thinking na baka malagyan ulit siya or may makita na naman na hindi namin magustuhan (pero siyempre andun pa din ako sa positive side na wala 'yun, hindi kami pababayaan) and thank God everything was clear daw, even his stents before was very nice," she said.
"Nakakaiyak. ... God is really good to us talaga. Finally, I can say that we made it," she added.
To end her post, Nadine expressed appreciation to her fans for the love and support they showed her family.
"From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for all your prayers, care and love sa family namin. Your messages mean a lot, hindi ko man nare-reply-an lahat pero nababasa ko po isa isa. Each and everyone of you made us stronger. Thank you so much. Hindi ko man kayo kilala pero nag-effort kayo to message me, nakakaiyak, nakaka-touch. Thank you po sa lahat," she said.
She also offered a hopeful message for those who are similarly going through a rough time.
"To everyone na may pinagdadaanan din ngayon, I pray for you to be strong. I pray for complete healing. I pray for love, I pray for happiness, for good health, for more work and for peace. I pray for you guys. Thank you for helping this MAMA to get up and be stronger than before. From our family to yours, thank you again so much. Prayers work talaga lalo na 'pag madaming nagsasama-sama. Hindi tayo pababayaan ni Lord. To everyone please be safe lalo na mag-lockdown tayo ulit and may God Bless all your good heart and your whole family. Always spreading love, peace, and healing to everyone," she said.
