Actress Ria Atayde took to social media to express her gratitude as she marked her sixth anniversary in show business on Thursday, August 5.
In an Instagram post, Ria said she's glad she lasted this long in the industry.
"A lot going on today that I didn’t even realize that today marks the 6th anniversary of my acting debut. So, this is my happy face knowing that I’ve survived 6 years in this industry. Blesssss. Utmost and sincerest gratitude to everyone that has been part of this journey. Pianiberseri to us, mga fren who wud heb thunk??" she said.
Ria, 29, is the daughter of seasoned actress Sylvia Sanchez and sister of award-winning actor Arjo Atayde.
Ria got her start in showbiz by playing a minor role in the hit afternoon series Ningning in 2015.
She had her showbiz breakthrough when she starred as Fe in the "Puno ng Mangga" episode of the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya, for which she won Best Female New TV Personality at the 2016 PMPC Star Awards for TV.
Since then, she has appeared in more television series, such as My Dear Heart and Halik, and also in films, including the blockbuster movie starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, The Hows of Us.
Currently, Ria is gearing up for the ABS-CBN series Viral, which tells the story of a woman who becomes a victim of a sex scandal.
The series is topbilled by Charlie Dizon, with Joshua Garcia, Jake Cuenca, and Dimples Romana. It will be seen on Kapamilya Channel (cable), Kapamilya Online Live (free live-streaming), iWant TFC (on-demand streaming), and A2Z Channel 11 (free and digital TV in Mega Manila).
