Andi Eigenmann took the time to answer a number of questions from fans about her journey after giving birth.

One of the questions asked was when she started doing exercises again after she gave birth to her son Koa whom she delivered via caesarian section.

According to Andi, she went back to doing moderate forms of exercise six weeks after giving birth and three months after for the more extreme ones.

“Nakakuha ako agad ng go signal from six weeks after. And I think for most women ganu’n naman siya. But that’s like for moderate types of exercises. With the more extreme ones like say surfing, muay Thai, and whatnot, I went back to that three months after as per my OB,” she said.

While most of her fans think she lost weight in a fast period of time, Andi said it was the opposite — citing holistic approach as part of her process.

“Meron mga iba na so fast. Pero it’s not really a fast process. I guess hindi niyo lang ako nakikita araw-araw o kaya mukhang mabilis. But now, Koa is seven months old and I haven’t really reached my goal. To me, it’s a holistic thing. Like it’s not just about losing weight. It’s not just about going on a diet, exercising, para pumayat ka,” she said.

Andi also made it clear that her goal is not to lose weight but rather to become physically stronger for her kids.

“Especially because sometimes, these diets can cause us to really become weaker. And, that’s not my goal. My personal goal is to lose that body fat but at the same time, gain some muscle and become physically stronger. Because feeling strong for me or being strong physically really helps me become emotionally and mentally strong as well. So that I can be the best momma I can be to my kids. And that’s my number one priority,” she remarked.

While she understands that some moms want to lose weight faster, Andi reminded parents that it is important to keep in mind to do it in a healthy way.

“I understand that other moms want to shed weight asap and there are others that don’t. We all have our own personal fitness goals and to each our own, honestly. As long as we do it in a healthy way to not hinder us from being A+ moms to our babies,” she stated.
