ABS-CBN broadcast journalist Karen Davila shared five pieces of advice for Lyca Gairanod in their recent YouTube collaboration.

"Dahil kailangan natin ng payo bilang teenager, mas kailangan natin ng payo sa mga talagang may experiences na tulad ni Ms. Karen," Lyca said in the introduction in one of her recent vlogs.

For her first advice, Karen said, "Unang-una for you Lyca at sa mga ka-edad mo, huwag basta-basta magkaka-boyfriend."

The journalist also advised Lyca and the other teenagers watching the vlog to value themselves.

"You have to value yourself, gusto ko 'yung mga teenagers like you, you're 16, ang kayamanan mo ay ang sarili mo. So parang 'pag binigay mo na 'yun sa lalaki, wala na, iyon na 'yun. So wait for the right time, the right guy, and 'yung right maturity mo," Karen highlighted.

For her second tip, Karen shared, "Huwag magpapabuntis ng maaga."

"Of course all children are a blessing from the Lord. But ako as a mother and as your ate and tita all rolled into one, kung may anak akong babae, I would really say, ingatan mo 'yun, huwag kang magpapabuntis agad. Focus first on yourself, on your career... And ang hirap po maging ina, hindi biro po ang maging ina," she added.

Karen also advised Lyca to finish her studies and start saving money early.

For her final tip and what Karen called "the ultimate success formula," she advised Lyca to already have a relationship with the Lord while still young.

"Dapat kilalanin mo na si Jesus. Bakit? Magastos mapariwara. Ang hirap non. Kapag napariwara ka you have so much, one, lost time, lost money, heartbreak. Alam mo 'yun? It's such a waste of parang emotions that you could have kept na para sa'yo."
