P-Pop group BGYO climbed to the top spot of the Pandora Predictions Chart on Billboard's Next Big Sound.
On Monday, August 16, BGYO officially took over the top spot as it entered its fourth week on the chart.
According to the official website of Next Big Sound, “the artists that appear [on] Pandora Predictions Chart and their success on the chart are measured on their patented predictive algorithm.”
Apart from the streaming data on Pandora, one of the determinants to be included on the chart is the activity of the artists on major social media sites.
Meanwhile, BGYO recently announced their highly-anticipated comeback which is slated for August 20th.
It was in May when BGYO first entered the Next Big Sound chart, debuting number at number 2.
BGYO is not the first group to enter the chart as artists such as Morissette, The Juans, and SB19 previously made it in the past.
Formed under ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy, BGYO is a five-member group composed of Akira, Gelo, JL, Mikki, and Nate.
Since the group debuted in January, it has already released two singles namely “The Light” and the theme song of the hit ABS-CBN series “He’s Into Her.”
