Daniel Padilla got candid about his relationship with Kathryn Bernardo in his recent interview with Boy Abunda.

The 26-year-old Kapamilya actor said he’s the type of man who’s willing to forgive someone who betrayed him as he has done it to his partner Kathryn in the past.

Daniel brought up the problem he faced with Kathryn in the past after he was asked a hypothetical question about betrayal in the first-ever episode of Boy Abunda’s Purple Chair interview.

“That happened to me before. Si Kathryn… Nagkamali ako before, ‘di ba? I was a kid, ‘di ba? I was stupid, ‘di ba? And still tinanggap niya ako at tinanggap niya ako ng buo,” he said.

According to Daniel, being with Kathryn brings forth a lot of advantages including getting the opportunity to spend time with her.

“Sa work kami magkasama, after work kami pa rin magkasama. ‘Yung beautiful dito is, I’m always excited to see Kathryn,” he said.

Daniel likewise explained how Kathryn helped make him become stable by having her in his life.

“Ang tawag ko I’m a ship and she’s my anchor ko talaga. Kaya ako steady kasi andiyan ‘yung Kathryn para sa akin. Ganon ‘yung relationship namin, Tito Boy. Kailangan ko ‘yung tao na ‘yun. Mahal ko siya at kailangan ko siya,” he remarked.

On how they still manage to excite each other throughout the years, Daniel said: “Simple lang. We just travel na kaming dalawa lang. ‘Pag nagta-travel kami before, iba ‘yung … ‘Oh my God, kaya na naming dalawa’ May ganun ‘di ba? Growth pa rin ng relationship,” he said.

Looking at their relationship now, Daniel said he sees himself spending the rest of his life with her.

“Now, tinuturuan namin ang isa’t-isa dahil malapit na eh. Ilang taon na rin kami ‘di ba? Sa future, pagdating ng panahon, siyempre magsasama na talaga kami. Hinahanda na rin namin ‘yung mga sarili namin,” he said.

Daniel said he and Kathryn have each developed special relationships with their respective moms.

“It’s a beautiful relationship. Ako kasi with her family and si Mama kay Kathryn. Parang kaming inaaalagan, ninu-nurture. Talagang tinuturuan na kami ng mga magulang kung paano maging handa,” he said.

“So, very healthy ‘yun for me kasi I’m a guy na medyo rattled ako eh. Scared ako eh. Dahil sa kanila, umo-okay ako,” he added.

Daniel also shared why they don’t get sick and tired of each other, revealing that they are not the type to get strict about the personal lives of one another.

“Ako I’m no expert naman eh. Wala eh. She’s the love of my life and I think that’s it. We just give each other time. Like me, kakagaling ko lang sa Boracay. Binigyan niya ako ng time with my friends. Tsaka kapatid ko. Ganun lang. Bigyan natin ng oras ‘yung mga sarili natin.

“Yun din ‘yun. Huwag natin sakalin ang isa’t’-isa. Hayaan din natin. It’s hard. Pero we grow together.”

In the same interview, Daniel said he is not the type of gets jealous about what Kathryn does but rather gets affected by what a guy does to his girlfriend.

“Ako seloso ako, pero hindi ako nagseselos kay Kathryn kasi alam ko namang walang dating sa kanya ‘yung mga lalaki. ‘Pag ako nagselos, dun ako badtrip kung sino lumalapit sa kanya. ‘Yun ‘yung kakausapin ko,” he said.

He added: “Hindi ‘yung, ‘Layuan mo’ ‘yang ano na ‘yan. Hindi ako ganon. I’ll talk to the guy. Hey man, that’s too much.’”
