Known as a very loving and family-oriented person, comedian Vice Ganda planned a big surprise for his family members in his latest vlog titled “THE BIG REVEAL” which was uploaded last August 13, Friday. In the vlog, Vice invited his family out to dinner on the occasion of his sister Tina’s birthday. The vlog, which was uploaded on August 13 with more than 2M views as of this writing, was shot before the start of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila with everyone present in the vlog undergoing a swab test and COVID protocols.
Upon reaching the venue for the birthday dinner, which was also attended by some of Vice’s closest friends in showbiz like Ryan Bang, Angeline Quinto, and Amy Perez, the It’s Showtime host, Vice revealed that the house they were in was his surprise gift to his family. His mother Rosario was so shocked her first reaction was, ‘Yan ka naman anak.
To which he replied, “Hindi turbo ang deserve mo.
It took Vice several tries before he convinced his mother and his sister Tina that it was not a prank. Vice’s niece Camille also became emotional while giving her uncle a warm hug.
The 45-year-old comedian and host then gave the Viceral family members a house tour showing the many rooms, each equipped with its own bathroom. For his mom’s room, Vice made sure to include a bathtub and her own swimming pool. Vice’s niece and nephew Camille and Christian also shared how they felt about the surprise.
“Hindi ko na-process agad. Kasi for the last 12 years sa iisang bahay lang kami. Imagine niyo from Tambunting (in Manila) to ganitong house, nagiging surreal na. Sobrang happy. Nakaka-overwhelm sa pakiramdam. Thank you, Tito Vice, kasi simula dati hanggang ngayon we’re living in a comfortable life and mas ginagawa niyang kumportable hindi lang ako kundi yung buong family namin. During this pandemic, he has been working so hard to put our minds and hearts at ease. I’m very fortunate and blessed to have a tito like him. He’s been treating us so well. He’s been treating me like his own child so thank you, I love you, Tito Vice,” Camille shared.
In the vlog, Vice explained why he decided to do this for his loved ones this year.
Iba’t ibang rason, yung iba COVID, yung iba iba’t ibang rason. So na-ri-realize ko, ang uncertain ng life.
Hangga’t nabubuhay sila, gusto kong maramdaman naming lahat yung sarap, yung masaya, yung maganda.
Another reason Vice wanted to move his family to a new home was to give them a fresh start even during the pandemic.
