Dingdong Dantes wrote a short but sweet poem for his wife Marian Rivera, who turned 37 on Thursday, August 12.
The actor, who also just recently celebrated his 41st birthday, shared the poem on his personal Instagram page. It reads:
"'Marimar' ang programa kung saan una ko siyang nakilala
at ang tawag ko noon sa kaniya'y Suplada
pero ngayon, katorseng taon na ang nakalipas
Mahal na ang tawag ko sa kaniya.
Maligayang kaarawan sa Mestizang Caviteña
Salamat sa kanya at may isang Marian Rivera... oops
Misis Dantes na pala."
Dingdong and Marian were onscreen partners before they became a couple and later, husband and wife. They tied the knot in a grand church ceremony on December 30, 2014, and have since welcomed two kids—Zia, 5, and Ziggy, 2.
Meanwhile, aside from the poem, Dingdong also shared photos showing how they celebrated Marian's birthday amid the enhanced community quarantine.
"Basta’t gusto (at within ECQ guidelines) may paraan. At kahit tayo-tayo lang—puwede naman!" he wrote in the caption of his post.
He also thanked those who went out of their way to greet his wife a happy birthday.
"Since we cannot be with each other physically, your warm wishes definitely made her happy. Thank you for your video greetings," he said.
For her part, Marian wrote in a post she shared on her Instagram page: "Thankful for 37 years of life. I am filled with gratitude for all of you and for all the blessings."
The other celebrities who greeted the actress on her special day included Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban, Roxanne Barcelo, Jane de Leon, and Lara Quigaman.
