Hidilyn Diaz received the keys to her new home in the metro on Monday, August 9.
Real estate company Megaworld Corporation turned over the two-bedroom fully furnished condominium worth Php14 million to Hidiyln which they pledged after she won the gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Megaworld's Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Kevin Tan personally turned over the condominium and gave Hidilyn a tour of her new property.
"Having spent some time with her this morning, I am totally blown away by her humility and her dedication to her sport. It was indeed a very challenging road to the 2021 Tokyo Olympic games. But she marched on with so much commitment and perseverance and brought home our first Gold medal," Kevin wrote on his Instagram page after meeting the Olympic gold medalist.
Aside from the condominium, Kevin also gave Hidilyn a charcoal painting created by John Ken Gomez, a 21-year-old Fine Arts student from Far Eastern University.
Kevin also shared that they will be dedicating a spot in the condominium's gym for her equipment and training.
"Maraming Salamat @hidilyndiaz for the pride and joy you have brought to all your Countrymen," Kevin posted.
