Following the announcement that she will be part of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, Julia Montes expressed her excitement to be part of the project.

"Siguro kung ico-compress ko into words it is more of blessed lang talaga and honored to be part of this big project... And 'yun lahat po kasi ng bumubuo eh. Hindi po siya aabot ng six years kung hindi lahat hindi binigay 'yung puso nila, 'yung puso niya (referring to Coco Martin) so alam ko ang sarap ng magiging journey at marami rin akong matututunan," she said in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN Entertainment

When asked if she is pressured that she will not only be acting alongside Coco but also be directed by him in the series, Julia responded, "May pressure po siyemepre hindi naman mawawala 'yun."

She continued,  "Siguro 'yung pressure gusto kong ma-meet 'yung expectation niya at ng lahat ng team kasi lahat talaga dedicated. And I'm just so proud of him sa lahat ng na-achieve niya ngayon from before then ngayon na lahat na talagang tutok siya. So I'm just happy to be part of that project and creative side of [him]."

Would she want to portray a good or bad character in the series?

"Actually any po, both okay ako. And 'yun nga po 'yung masarap mapasok sa show na 'to kasi nga 'yung challenge and 'yung journey ng character mo hindi basta-basta. Hindi siya 'yung typical teleserye na pag pumasok ka alam mo na agad. Ito may challenge as an actor. Ano 'yung pwede mo pang ibigay kung binigyan ka ng scenario. So iyon 'yung exciting part," she remarked.
