For the 10th episode on her YouTube channel, Karen Davila visited the Novaliches home of broadcaster Raffy Tulfo whom she was also meeting for the very first time. The popular radio and YouTube personality revealed that the home is just one of his rental homes while his actual home in Quezon City is being reconstructed. “Every weekend pumupunta kami dito para magpahinga,” he said.

During the first part of the vlog, Raffy sat down for an interview with Karen on how he first met his wife Jocelyn.

“Many years ago, sa Cauayan City Isabela, FM disc jockey ako noon. Nahirapan. Mayaman siya. Mahirap lang ako. At saka ang suweldo ko nun P300 a month at that time. So nabubuhay ako pag nagbebenta ako ng commercial. And then ang damit ko is lima.

Raffy also shared his life growing up in a family of 10 siblings with him being the eighth child.

And then nagpapalipat lipat kami. Sumasama kami sa kanya. Housewife yung mom ko. Laki kasi kami sa bugbog and then we were trained not to tell our parents kapag may kaaway, kapag binu-bully kami. We just shut up. Keep it to yourself. So pag binu-bully kami, quiet na lang,” he shared.

Among all his siblings, which also includes media personalities Ramon and Ben, Raffy said he was the one who struggled with money. “Ako yung pinakamahirap sa lahat ng magkapatid. So naranasan kong lipat lipat sa mga kamag-anak. Papaaralin ng auntie, kapatid, and then aabutan ng damit kasi wala akong damit. Hand me down mga damit ko, sapatos ko. Ganun ako kahirap. There was a time na pati yung pantalon ng nanay ko kailangan ipapa-repair ko para magamit ko. Kaya kami naghirap kasi sobrang dami namin nun,” he admitted.

The Tulfo in Action host also revealed one of the happiest and saddest moments in his life was when his father succumbed to cancer in 1985.

“Kasi before he died, nagkasama kami sa America and that was the moment na naramdaman ko yung tunay na pagmamahal ng isang ama. Nung bata kami never, yung distansya isang dipa. Unlike his father, Raffy said he does not believe in physically disciplining his children.

During the house tour, Raffy showed Karen his collection of designer polos that ranged from P10,000 to 50,000 each with brands like Versace, Fendi, Balenciaga, Hermes, Balmain, Dior, Burberry, and Gucci.

Raffy said it is his wife is the one who does most of his shopping.

Totoo yan,” he added.

Karen shared that part two of her vlog interview with Raffy will talk about his rumored political plans to run for a seat in the senate.
