Unlike his other social media accounts, Richard Juan explained why his TikTok account is the most fun to update.“Tiktok is the platform where I really just have fun. For my other social media I guess it’s a little bit more curated. Sa Instagram is more curated, sa Facebook medyo random pero Tiktok is where I genuinely just have fun and as some of you guys know, I’m quite outspoken on Twitter. But on Tiktok it’s really where I try to keep things light. I like to just have fun. Whatever is trendy I’ll do it. I always tell myself I’ll wake up at 9:30 am. Especially on the big screen you never really see any Asian face and no one looks like me. Kaya never ko talaga na-imagine na magiging ganito ako. But because of the Korean dramas, all the K-pop music and Asian wave, ngayon nakikita ko na. And especially it all started with Kim Soo-hyun yun bang idol ko din siya. I’m like, ‘Oh my God this guy looks like me and he’s making it internationally.’ He’s making it big so parang naisip ko baka may chance na rin pala ako kasi ngayon uso na ito. This was around 2013 to 2014 na napansin ko na puwede ko pala ito gawin talaga na career. So that was where everything started.
