Having started her acting career last year after making her small screen debut in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya starring Jane De Leon, former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Kiara Takahashi said she would love to explore more hosting opportunities this year now that she has officially signed up with Star Magic. Kiara said she especially enjoys hosting with fellow Star Hunt alumna Richard Juan who is now also part of Star Magic.

Ang galing galing niya dun,” she said.

Last month, Kiara along with 40 other new stars were officially welcomed into the Star Magic family. The 23-year-old actress recallws being excited and nervous that day before signing her new management contract.

“Nung Star Magic Black Pen Day, kasi nasa isang dressing room kami tapos so naghihintay kami for our turn. We were talking and naisip ko ang lalalim na ng mga topics natin, papunta na sa parang podcast yung pinag-uusapan namin. Nakakatuwa rin makipag-usap kay Richard,” she added.

After coming to the Philippines from Japan just to try her luck in showbiz, Kiara said it was a big challenge for her to keep persevering for her dream.

“Mahirap talaga to be honest. Mahirap maging motivated everyday. Mahirap maging positive everyday. Sobrang hirap nun and one struggle yun. Kasi parang ang daling sabihin na let’s be positive pero in reality another day sa pinagdadaanan natin ngayon. Pero at the end of the day I really go back to my core. What is it that I want to achieve? Why am I doing this?

When it comes to acting and hosting, Kiara revealed which Kapamilya talent she has always looked up to.

I look up to her. As an individual also parang she’s really full of wisdom and she’s really professional sa ginagawa niya.

“Internationally madami pero top of my mind now is Jennifer Lawrence kasi she’s a great actress and at the same time she’s natural. Kumbaga nakikita ko yung mga interview nakikita ko yung personality niya and she’s a good actress,” she said.
