Seasoned actress Alice Dixson said "her life has just begun" as she marked her first birthday as a mother on Wednesday, July 28.

In an Instagram post, Alice, who turned 52, expressed how happy she is to celebrate her special day with her child, whom she described as her birthday dream come true.

Sharing photos of herself celebrating her 48th birthday back in 2017, the actress said: "Looking back at this photo and now having my dream come true; every morning when I wake up smiling back at me makes me teary eyed thinking about the journey. How hopeful every year I was."

"This year, she is finally here to celebrate with me and every year after," she added. "My life has just begun. 52 - my best birthday yet."

It was last April when Alice revealed via a social media post that she is now a mother.

"For those of you who really know me, you’ve known that I’ve been praying for this every year on my birthday for 10 years now. Each year, my wish the same when I blew out my candles. So with great patience, belief, and trust, I am happy to announce my wish has finally come true. Our newest little family member has arrived," she said at the time.

Appearing on Eat Bulaga last May, the actress revealed that her child is a girl and that her name is Aura.

She also shared her hopes and dreams for her daughter.

"I just hope that she grows up to be a strong woman. My mom was very strong and then I learned from her to really parang be persistent, to look at the bright side of things," she said.

In an interview with ANC's Headstart in 2019, Alice revealed that at that time, she and her partner were in the process of having a child via surrogacy.

"Well my personal journey is super personal, pero sige I will share it. We are still in the process of surrogacy. My partner and I, oo. So I have not given up on that,"
