Desiree del Valle warned her followers about a new scamming method done via text messaging.
Sharing a screenshot of a text message she received from the scammer, the 39-year-old actress revealed she was asked for her personal information.
Apparently, the scammer will first send a link to the Philippine postal service before getting asked if she would want to have the parcel delivered to her home or picked up.
“You may also have received something like this. This number sent me a message that linked to the account of the Philippine postal service. They will ask if delivery to your home or pick up,” she wrote.
As soon as her personal information has been obtained, she will then be asked to pay 58 pesos using the credit card of the potential victim.
She remarked: “Then will ask your personal information, name, number, etc., then will ask you to pay the 58 pesos fee for the transaction using your credit card?”
Desiree went on to reveal that she reached out to the person but to no avail. She also made it clear that she knew she was getting scammed after she realized she wasn’t expecting a delivery to begin with.
“Called the number even messaged back, they dropped my call. Just goes to show that this is a SCAM and I know I am not expecting any kind of delivery nor ordered that will have to go thru the postal service,” she stated.
