Actor Piolo Pascual took to social media to greet his My Amanda co-star Alessandra de Rossi, who turned 37 on Monday, July 19.
On his Instagram page, Piolo shared a photo of himself with Alessandra, captioned with his short but touching birthday message for the actress.
"You gotta flex sometimes when you know you’ve worked with a legend… Happy birthday, Fream. :) You’ll always be a force and the glue that keeps us stuck… #anoraw Labyu! Grateful for you. :) Cheers!" he said.
Piolo and Alessandra co-star in My Amanda, a Netflix film about two unusually close friends who share every aspect of their lives together. As their lives evolve, their bond remains the only constant.
The romance-drama marks the directorial debut of Alessandra, who also wrote the film. It began streaming last July 15 and has since ranked first in Netflix's list of top 10 titles in the Philippines.
In a previous interview with PUSH, Piolo said playing the role of Alessandra's best friend onscreen was a natural transition for him since he is good friends with her in real life.
“I learned from this film. As long as there’s love, you can move mountains and you’ll go from there. I also know for a fact that it is possible to actually have girl best friends that you treat like one of the guys and being around Alessandra, it was easy for me because that’s how we are in real life. So it wasn’t hard for me to get into the character because we were literally developing the chemistry and we didn’t realize that there was chemistry because we were doing a lot of things on the side,” he shared.
Piolo and Alessandra first worked together on the romcom film Kita Kita back in 2017. They went on to co-star in the ABS-CBN series Since I Found You in 2018.
