Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently revealed that he is working on his first movie specifically made for streaming on Netflix. Titled Red Notice, Dwayne will star with Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds in what looks to be comedy and action flick.
“🚨 I’m officially serving you your notice 🚨,” The Rock wrote on his Instagram account.
“Ladies & gents @Netflix’s biggest movie ever #REDNOTICE will premiere in your living rooms around the globe on NOVEMBER 12th 🔥🌎
“The FBI’s top profiler.
The world’s most wanted art thief.
And the greatest conman the world has never seen,” he said of the project.
He also thanked co-stars while poking fun at them at the same time. “Thank you to my insanely talented (and highly unattractive) costars Gal Gadot & Ryan Reynolds for our globetrotting heist.” The Rock previously worked with Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds on separate installments of the Fast and the Furious movie franchise.
Dwayne plays the FBI profiler while his co-stars play rival criminals.
The movie, which has a reported budget of 200 million USD, is Netflix’s biggest project to date.
A Red Notice is “a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action,” according to the website of The International Criminal Police Organization or Interpol.
Red Notice is written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber and premieres on November 12, 2021.
