Actress Angel Locsin is on a new fitness journey as she shares going on a diet program.

On Tuesday, June 8, Angel said she wants to share to her followers how she will progress with the diet food detox program from a clinic.

The actress showed what she was going to have for brunch and said that she is currently on a 800-calorie diet. Angel also said she has a nutritionist who advices her what to eat to achieve her weight goal.

"Mukha siyang konti because I'm on a 800-calorie diet and according to my nutritionist ... 'yun ang kailngan to achieve my goal … So please bear with me and wish me good luck," Angel said in her clip.

The Kapamilya star also put stickers on her uploaded videos, which included the words ‘motivated’ and ‘I can do it.’

In an interview on Tonight with Boy Abunda back in 2019, the Kapamilya star said she would rather not respond to comments about her body from netizens when asked if she gets affected about all the body-shaming she has been getting.

“Kung iisipin mo, maaawa ka doon sa tao, kasi anong klaseng person ka para magawa mo ‘yon? Perfect ka? Hindi mo na lang papatulan,” she said.

She added: “May mga bagay kasi na hindi mo dapat gawin sa kapwa mo. Kung ang taong ito comfortable siya sa ginagawa niyang ‘yan, ayaw ko mag-deal sa mga ganu’ng klaseng tao. Kasi sad ang life niya. Kasi ako, wala akong problema. Bakit ikaw ang dami mong isyu? Ako nga, walang isyu, eh. Katawan ko ‘to, ako ‘to, sarili ko ‘to. Eh, ikaw, okay ka ba?”

Meanwhile, Angel and fiance Neil Arce are set to tie the knot this year. It can be recalled that the couple postponed their wedding because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The couple were supposed to get married on November 8, 2020.

In an interview with Metro.Style last September, the couple shared that the wedding would be moved this year but it would depend on the situation with the pandemic.

"We were thinking, 'Should we do it small?' But that's not us eh. We're friends, we have a group of friends. We want everyone to be there. We want everyone to have fun," Neil said.
