The cast of the much-awaited ABS-CBN series The Broken Marriage Vow have finally gathered to do their first-ever script reading.
On Instagram Stories, Deo Endrinal, head of Dreamscape Entertainment which is producing the series, shared a glimpse of the session which was held last June 22.
Spotted were lead stars Jodi Sta Maria, Zanjoe Marudo, Sue Ramirez, and Zaijian Jaranilla. Supporting cast members Joem Bascon, Rachel Alejandro, Bianca Manalo, and Empress Schuck were also present.
The Broken Marriage Vow is a Philippine remake of the BBC award-winning drama Doctor Foster, which follows the story of a trusted doctor whose life is torn apart when she suspects her husband of having an affair.
It stars Jodi as Dr. Jill Ilustre (Dr. Gemma Foster in the original), with Zanjoe as David Ilustre (Simon Foster), the husband; Sue as Lexy Lucero (Kate Parks), the mistress; and Zaijian as Jill and David’s only son, Gio Ilustre (Tom Foster).
Other cast members include Jane Oineza, Art Acuña, Angeli Bayani, Ketchup Eusebio, Ronnie Lazaro, Malou Crisologo, Franco Laurel, Sandino Martin, Jojit Lorenzo, Kate Alejandrino, Jie-Anne Armero, Brent Manalo, Migs Almendras, Avery Clyde, and JB Agustin.
Directed by Concepcion Macatuno (Glorious, Malaya), The Dreamscape Entertainment production is the sixth international adaptation of Doctor Foster. The British drama has different versions in France, Russia, Turkey, India, and South Korea.
Last year, ABS-CBN aired its South Korean version, locally known as The World of a Married Couple.
