Michelle Madrigal and her mom shared for the first time how they reunited after years of estrangement.

Michelle had her mom, former actress Karla Kalua, join her latest vlog where fans got the chance to get to know more about their relationship.

Towards the end of the vlog, Michelle read a message from a fan asking how they patched things up between them.

“Paano ba natin na-settle? Parang 16 [years old], lumayas na ‘to ng bahay eh,” her mom asked.

Karla, Michelle’s mom, said it was during Michelle’s pregnancy with her first child when things started to get better between them.

“Balik, okay. Ganun eh. Parang nu’ng mas marami na tayong pinagdaanan. ‘Yung matagal na tayong hindi nagkasama. After that, I got married, ikaw bigla kang nabuntis,” her mom shared.

“I had a very sensitive first-month nu’ng pregnancy ko. Talagang bed rest lang,” Michelle added.

Karla went on to share how much she tried to make up for the lost time with her daughter during those times.

“That was the time I was really trying my best na parang ‘yung nawalang time or ‘yung mag makeup, ginagawa ko ‘di ba? I mean, naging okay five or six years ago. Du’n nag-start tayo nina Ehra (Michelle’s sister) naging okay,” Karla said.

She then added how the challenges they faced as a family when Michelle’s dad got sick and when their relationship with each other changed for the better.

“Tapos ‘yung Dad mo naging sick. Parang du’n tayo lalong naging close,” Karla said.

She added: “We realized a lot of things. Life is really short, you know?”

Michelle said it's true what people say, that time does heal relationships.

“Time heals all wounds talaga. Hindi talaga pwedeng i-force, in any situation, time talaga. Mangyayari nalang naturally,” Muchelle said.

“Sobrang totoo ‘yun. ‘Pag pinagdadasal mo, mangyayari ‘yan. Even their marriage, si Ehra, talagang dasal talaga,” her mom said, adding her thoughts on the power of prayers.

“When you become a mom, it changes everything,” she said.
