With his teleserye La Vida Lena all set to make its free TV debut on June 28, Kit Thompson said he is thankful to be offered projects with ABS-CBN long after he first became known as a teen housemate in Pinoy Big Brother in 2012. With Star Magic recently welcoming over 40 new artists into its family this year, Kit said he considers himself blessed to still be given opportunities with the network.
“Hindi ako Star Magic so siyempre iba yung gratitude ko to ABS-CBN and to Dreamscape. This is my second project with Dreamscape and up until now andiyan pa rin sila para sa akin. They never forgot about me and nawala ako for almost four years and pagkabalik they were still there willing to give me a project and I’m always grateful. At saka hindi naman maiiwasan na may mga bagong artists younger than you kasi hindi naman tayo bumabata di ba?
“At saka from the time that I started, ibang iba na yung mga roles from then to now. So just always be grateful, always count your blessings kasi hindi mo alam kung kelan mawawala,” he said.
Even with the series showing off his sexy physique, Kit says there is more to the story than just watching his daring scenes with lead actress Erich Gonzales.
“Meron naman pero hindi naman yun yung highlight ng show. Siyempre the show’s not about skin. Meron din dito yung performances, yung mga away scenes lalo na yung kila Agot (Isidro). There’s some scenes na hindi siya funny yung atake pero kung papanuorin mo medyo may humor siya. Yun yung isa pa sa aabangan ng mga viewers,” he explained.
Growing up as a Filipino-Kiwi, the La Vida Lena actor said he does not believe that being attractive is what can give you more opportunities in the world.
“I don’t think that that’s true because beauty is not everything naman in this world. Puwede kang maging masipag, matalino to get to where you want to be in this life. Siguro a high place sa akin, it’s different from others. Different yung journey, different yung goals so nag-ba-vary talaga,” he said.
While doing lock-in taping on the set, Kit said he still tried to work out everyday.
“During my free time pag late yung call time, I manage to squeeze in a workout just to keep myself healthy and sane (laughs). Very limited workout lang ang puwede ko magawa doon. So that’s why I bring my own kettle bell, my TRX na I do body weight workouts. Wala kasing gym dun so hindi puwedeng magbuhat. Calisthenic workouts or sometimes I do yoga din. Yun lang I do mga simple workouts to keep you sane,” he shared.
