Filipino-Canadian actor Manny Jacinto is proud to be part of Trese, the first animated Filipino series on Netflix.
Manny, who played Jason Mendoza in the hit sitcom The Good Place since it debuted in 2016, is the voice of the character named Maliksi.
Trese director Jay Oliva tweeted his appreciation for the actor whom he contacted on a whim.
“A HUGE thank you and congratulations to @MannyJacinto who plays Maliksi on the animated series Trese. I reached out to Manny on a whim and he graciously responded. Manny was the first actor I cast for the show and it was then that I knew we had something special.#TreseOnNetflix”
In turn, Manny replied on how grateful proud he is to be part of a project that represents Pinoy culture.

Currently streaming on Netflix, Trese features the voices of Liza Soberano (for the Filipino dub) and Shay Mitchell (for the English dub) for the lead character Alexandra Trese. Other cast members include Darren Criss, Lou Diamond Phillips, Jon Jon Briones, and Scherzinger for the English dub and Simon Dela Cruz, Apollo Abraham, and Nica Rojo for the Tagalog dub
