Kris Aquino on Tuesday, June 1, said she has received her first of two doses of the vaccine against COVID-19.

The actress and television host, who has an autoimmune disease, shared the news as she posted a photo of herself and her son Josh with her lawyer friend Gideon Pena and Batangas Governor Mark Leviste on Instagram.

"@attygideon and I have both gotten our first doses of our vaccine. My doctors chose AstraZeneca as my safest option. But we are still masked and we’re all taking the necessary precautions (new cases reported today are still 5,177)," she wrote in her caption.

As of Sunday, May 30, a total of 8,329,050 of COVID-19 vaccines from Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Russia's Gamaleya Institute have arrived in the Philippines. The country has administered 5,180,721 doses since the start of the vaccination drive last March 1.

The Philippines on Tuesday, June 1, recorded 5,177 additional COVID-19 cases, bringing the overall tally to 1,235,467—with deaths at 21,012—one of the highest caseloads in Asia.

Meanwhile, Kris also urged Mark to get his vaccine as soon as possible as she thanked him for the visit and food.

"Thank you for the visit and the food Vice Gov @markleviste, although I believe you should get your vaccine soonest because you’re not just protecting yourself, you must get your vaccine for the safety of your constituents, friends, family, and loved ones. Agree?" she said.

It can be recalled that back in February, Kris and Mark became the subject of rumors after they were reportedly spotted on a dinner date at a restaurant in Makati, according to website Mega Entertainment.

It also dubbed Mark as the "Queen of All Media's newest suitor." Citing unnamed sources, Mega Entertainment reported the politician "frequently waits for Kris to go down to the lobby of a serviced residence in BGC, even if sometimes she never meets him. And because of this, Kris finally agreed to go out with the vice governor because he truly insists on taking her out."

However, Kris was quick to deny the dating rumors, saying in an Instagram post that, as of the moment, she is "single, not dating, peaceful, [and just] trying to get healthier."
