Young singer Jayda Avanzado posed as the cover girl for the latest issue of fashion magazine Metro.Style to mark her 18th birthday.
The daughter of Jessa Zaragosa and Dingdong Avanzado, who turned 18 on June 1, was dubbed as a "rising star" in her solo covers for the magazine, where she looked all grown up while clad in gorgeous outfits.
In the magazine, Jayda described turning 18 as quite a "bittersweet" feeling.
"Turning 18, I would like to look at it as a symbolism, na things get better. Kung mayroong mawawala, mayroon din darating," she said.
"I know that turning 18, ang daming mga responsibilities, but honestly, I'm up for the challenge." she continued. "I know that this is the start of my adulthood. I always used to hear about people turning 18, but when you're finally there in that position, it's a different feeling. It's a bittersweet feeling, almost."
Aside from her birthday, Jayda, who is known for her hits such as "Happy For You" and "Malabong Usapan", also talked about her much-awaited concert, titled Jayda In Concert, which will be held this coming June 26.
"One of the advantages it has is I can connect with people, like people from other countries can watch me simultaneously. I think that's really such an amazing thing," she said.
"My reason for doing it is simply because it's the next step for me. It makes so much sense. And I know there's been a lot of clamor from my fans to hold an event like this so it's kind of my gift to them, even though it's my birthday," she added.
A joint production of ABS-CBN Events and Phenomenal Entertainment, Jayda in Concert' will be held on June 26 at 8 pm, with a rerun on June 27 at 10 am.
The concert is directed by Frank Mamaril together with Iean Iñigo as the musical director.
Tickets are now available on KTX.ph, iWantTFC, and TFC IPTV. VIP tickets cost P799 each and are only available via KTX.ph, while regular passes are worth P499 each. Premium ticket holders will also have the chance to attend a Zoom party with Jayda on June 26.
