Celebrity couple Jane Oineza and RK Bagatsing received their COVID-19 jabs together on Tuesday, June 15.
On their respective Instagram pages, the two encouraged their fans to also register and get vaccinated against COVID-19, as they shared photos of themselves getting the first dose of the vaccine.
"First dose done today!! When you do get the chance, please register. Tara na at magpabakuna! Keep safe everyone!" said Jane.
For his part, RK said: "Got my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine today and excited na ko para sa second dose. Ikaw kamusta, tapos na? Pag meron na pagkakataon, please register and #GetVaccinated. The quicker we get everyone vaccinated, the quicker we can all get back to normal."
As of Thursday, June 17, the Philippine government has received over 14 million doses of vaccines from Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Russia's Gamaleya Institute. Since the start of the vaccination drive last March, nearly 7 million doses have been administered.
The country on Thursday, June 17, recorded 6,637 additional COVID-19 cases, bringing the overall tally to 1,339,457—with deaths at 23,276—one of the highest caseloads in Asia.
Jane, 24, and RK, 33, have been rumored to be romantically involved in real life since they were paired onscreen for the first time via the 2018 teleserye Araw Gabi.
However, it was only last May that they confirmed being an official couple, through a TikTok video showing them exchanging a sweet kiss.
Prior to that, Jane also referred to RK as her "source of happiness" in her message for the actor as he marked his 33rd birthday.
