After turning 18 last June 1, Jayda Avanzado celebrates another milestone this month with her Jayda in Concert event happening on June 26.

Isang malaking karangalan na mabigyan ako ng ganitong oportunidad ng ABS-CBN and even amidst all this adversity and problems, para sa akin iba talaga yung ABS-CBN eh. They provide quality entertainment and artist development, iba yung pag-alaga nila sa bawat artista nila. I can’t be more thankful to just be part of it. To be given this opportunity in the midst of a pandemic, I just consider it a blessing and ako talaga;. I owe it to not just my fans or  mga nanunuod sa akin but to ABS-CBN to really give it my all and do my best and put on a good show. I’ve been so busy. I think this is one of the busiest chapters of my life and I couldn’t be more grateful for it honestly. I’m just so happy. Especially with everything going on in the world right now, so many opportunities have been coming my way and I just can’t say enough how thankful I am,” she shared during her Jayda in Concert presscon last June 10.

Not content to just perform, Jayda said she was very hands-on with almost all aspects to her show.

“Actually what they can expect to see a different side to Jayda and see me hopefully in my full element and kind of like a whole 360 of what I have to offer as an artist. To show them what I can do and some of the things I haven’t been able to do before which I will be able to showcase in this concert. I’ve always been super involved in all aspects of my work. I really have to hand it to direk Frank Lloyd Mamaril who is our concert director for this show. I think this has been a collaborative process for him and me in terms of the visuals and the kind of shots and treatment that we want for this show. So I would say I’m very involved and at the same time I really trust direk Frank’s expertise in this field and bringing our vision to life,” she shared.

With her mom Jessa Zaragoza and KD Estrada as her special guests, Jayda said she is both excited and pressured to deliver her best for the show.

“It’s such an amazing chapter of my life that I couldn’t feel more grateful to be in the process of going through it and just so thankful for all the opportunities coming my way. It’s super exciting. There’s a lot of mixture of emotions I guess. There’s a bit of pressure but at the same time this is the moment that I’ve been waiting for my whole life and especially this concert it just means so much to me. I would say this has been a dream of mine since I was young, to headline my own show this major. Especially with the current situation at hand with the world right now and I just feel really privileged to be able to do what I love in the midst of all of this,” she said.
