Actress Jessy Mendiola said she's now ready to start a family with her husband, television host Luis Manzano.
Jessy made the admission in her latest YouTube vlog, where she answered the most Googled questions about her, as well as queries sent by her fans through Instagram.
"Yes, I am ready to get pregnant," the actress declared.
"Better din na nasa late 20s na rin ako, kesa nasa 30s na 'ko. Parang feeling ko mas mabilis akong magba-bounce back. And gusto rin talaga namin ni Luis na siguro mga two to three yung children namin," she shared. "Kaya sana two to three kids before I turn 33, ganun. 28 na 'ko ngayon eh, so meron akong five years pa."
However, Jessy said she's "not so sure" about having a baby this year, with the COVID-19 pandemic still going on.
"Siguro when things are better," she said. "Sana talaga things get better. Para rin you know, all of us could really move on with our lives na walang worries, na walang anxiety na nakakabit."
Nevertheless, she promised her fans that if she does get pregnant, she would not keep it a secret.
"Don't worry, if buntis ako, sasabihin ko sa inyong lahat at hindi ko itatago 'yun. But right now, [I'm not yet pregnant]," she said.
Earlier, Luis admitted that between him and Jessy, it was him who is more likely to want to have kids first.
“Given naman ‘yun. Siyempre hindi na naman na ako bumabata,” he said.
“Kasi lahat ng tropa ko may mga pamilya na halos. Kumbaga sa buong barkada ko, sabihin natin mga kinse kami, parang 12-13 [may pamilya na]. Malalaki na nga mga anak actually," he explained.
The TV host added that he wants to enjoy the kind of bond he and his father, actor-politician Edu Manzano, had back when he was young.
“Tapos ‘yung Daddy ko nu’ng pinanganak ako I think nasa 28 years old ata siya. Same age si Mommy (Vilma Santos-Recto) at si Daddy. Marami kaming na-eenjoy ni Daddy together event at this point. So parang ‘yun din ang habol ko na parang ‘yung anak natin marami pa kaming magawa,” he said.
Jessy, 28, and Luis, 40, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at The Farm in San Benito in Batangas last February.
They announced their engagement in December last year, after more than four years of being a couple.
