Dani Barretto turned emotional after seeing the transformation of her home with her husband Xavi Panlilio and daughter Millie.
The 28-year-old content creator and influencer — who sought the help of Moss Design House to transform the living and dining area of her home into a rustic-themed space — shared why she decided to have her home “fluffed.”
The eldest child of Marjorie Barretto explained that she has always wanted a timeless design — something she and her husband won’t easily get tired of looking at — for their house.
“Well, mag-one year palang kami here sa house and immediately nagsawa na kami sa the way it looks. ‘Yun pa. Kasi we’ve been here the whole year and we’ve been stuck in the same space. Parang I guess we just wanted a design that’s more pangmatagalan. ‘Yung timeless ‘yung hitsura, hindi ‘yung mapagsasawaan,” she said.
“Kasi wala pa kaming one year dito pero we’re like, ‘What can we change?’ Ganun na kami every day,” she added.
When Dani finally returned to the house after staying out with her family for three days, she admitted that she couldn’t believe what she was looking at.
“Well, we felt like we walked into a different house. Parang we felt like hindi na namin ‘to bahay. It’s like it’s a new home again. It felt new. It’s way cozy. It has more character. It’s like pagpasok mo, it’s like home na talaga. ‘Yung parang ang sarap umuwi sa ganitong environment,” she said.
Meanwhile, Dani turned emotional when she shared how happy she was to be able to deliver to her husband her promise during their wedding to give her family a home they can look forward to going home each time.
“One of the vows that I told Javi was I wanted him to look forward to coming home and ang dami kong iniiba lagi sa area na ’to kasi feeling ko, hindi pa siya home. That’s why I got so emotional because now, it feels so complete. I felt like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. And it’s how I imagined my home to be,” she said.
