With strict home quarantine still imposed on minors and senior citizens in the country, actress and comedian Kitkat Favia revealed that she has not had direct physical contact with her parents for more than a year already for safety and health reasons. In an Instagram post last May 8, the 32-year-old TV host shares how she makes sure to socially distance herself when visiting her parents to drop off supplies and gifts for them.
She wrote, “Nakakaiyak yung ganitong di mo maakap ang parents kasi delikado sa kanila, isang taon mahigit nang kawayan nalang... miz u Papa and Mama... yes kahit anong okasyon bday, pasko, new year lumagpas lang ng puro lang kami txt at ganitong kaway kaway... mahirap magpasaway sa kahit anong lunch, dinner or get together... tiisin nyo, minsan di kasi naiisip ng iba na delikado hanggat di nangyayari sa kanila... i love u parents! HAPPY MOTHER’s DAY kay mudra! Bukas padala ako ng pizza heheh mwah!”

Earlier this year, Kitkat and her former Happy Time co-host Janno Gibbs made headlines when they reportedly had a verbal altercation while taping their noontime show. Both hosts were subsequently asked to leave the show by the management.
Before showbiz, Kitkat first started gaining a name for herself as a stand-up comedian and singer in top comedy bars in Metro Manila. The former Star Magic talent left after ABS-CBN’s closure last year and is now doing projects with other networks.
