Actress Melissa Ricks’ intimate wedding in the US was filled with emotional speeches and happy moments from friends and family, who celebrated with her and now husband Michael Macatangay.
In the video by Nice Print Photography, snippets of Melissa and Michael’s vows were heard in the background.
“Patuloy nating isama si Lord sa relationship natin...sobrang daming pinagdaanan pero andito na tayo. Gift sa atin ni Lord to sa ating dalawa, sa dami nating pinagdaanan…Mahal na mahal kita. ‘Wag ka na umiyak andito ako lagi para sa iyo,” the actress stated.
In a separate post, Melissa shared how their wedding came to be.
"Our wedding. Our special day made special by my closest friends and relatives here in California in only 3 weeks! I woke up early, hubby cooked breakfast, we went to the grocery to get some snacks and soda for the guests, went through the drive thru at jack in the box to get churros and tacos, then proceeded home to get ready. I did my own hair and makeup, zipped myself into my gown, drove down to the chapel, had a simple ceremony with 15 people. Afterwards we had the reception in my stepdad's backyard. Couldn't get any simpler than that," she said in her Instagram post.
Melissa also explained why Kiera‚ her daughter with her former partner Charles Togezaki,, was missing during the wedding.
Responding to a netizen who asked about Kiera's absence, the actress said: "Risky to bring our kids. Maybe when a vaccine is available for them."
Melissa met Michael at Jesus the Anointed One Church in Rosario, Batangas, where the actress would go every Sunday to hear mass along with her daughter.
