Sharon Cuneta dismissed rumors that her husband Kiko Pangilinan is physically hurting her.
Following speculations about her reason for flying to the US, the Megastar decided to go live on Instagram to address the issues surrounding her — including ones involving her marriage to Kiko Pangilinan.
In the hour-long video, Sharon said her husband has never hurt her even once and that she left Manila without any problems with him.
“Sa awa ng Diyos, mula ng pagkabata ko, wala pa kong nakilala, minahal, nakasama na nasaktan ako. Maaaring sa puso pero hindi physical. Ever,” she said in the video.
She added: “Asawa ko po, ni minsan ang daliri niyan di dumapo sa akin. Kabilin-bilinan po ng tatay ko yun. The minute na nasaktan ka kahit sampal, iwanan mo na.”
Sharon also laughed off rumors that her marriage to Kiko is on the rocks because of her having a romantic relationship with a younger guy.
She then joked that she would be able to accept the rumors if the rumored partner were Keanu Reeves or any member of the K-Pop groups NCT and SHINee.
She likewise laughed about the rumor that she is pregnant.
“Nakalimutan nila na di na ko 30s. I’m sorry kahit cute ako, 55 na po ako. At ayaw na namin ni Kiko, okay na kami kay Miguel,” she said.
In the said video, Sharon revealed she flew to America for a Hollywood film she was supposed to do but did not push through.
Fil-Am comedian Jo Koy personally handpicked her for the role while renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg was supposed to produce the film.
She was initially told she tested positive for COVID-19, but was eventually told the result was “false positive” after all.
The singer-actress said she went to seven more testing laboratories where results turned out to be negative.
Her role went to Fil-Am actress Tia Carrere who served as one of the voice actors in the film Lilo and Stitch as well as the lead star in the action series Relic Hunter.
Right now, Sharon is busy doing virtual auditions for films in Hollywood.
