OPM band Ben&Ben has released the official music video of their new single "Magpahinga" and it starred veteran actor Joel Torre and actress Bela Padilla.
Directed and written by Jorel Lising with Anton Umali, the short film explores the relationship between a father and a daughter and the emotional burden that comes with having to say goodbye. It touched on delicate matters such as death, grief, and the final moments spent with a loved one.
"It isn’t easy to come to terms with mortality, but it also brings out the most tender moments and cathartic resolutions," said Paolo Benjamin, one half of the Guico twins who are the face of the award-winning, indie folk band.
Since it was released on Sunday, May 23, the music video of "Magpahinga" has garnered more than 400,000 views and 40,000 "likes", making it one of the top trending videos for music on YouTube Philippines.

Ben&Ben released "Magpahinga", a song about finding rest, last May 14.
Previously, Paolo revealed that the emotional track was written when his sister tested positive for COVID-19 more than a month ago.
"It was one of the toughest times for our family. In the middle of these dark days, in the middle of these battles we silently fight, may we remember that it's okay to rest," he said.
"Thankfully, our sister recovered. But there are so many out there who aren't as fortunate, and many likewise are enduring the heaviest of days right now. This song is for all of you. Magpahinga ka muna," he added.
Aside from "Magpahinga", Ben&Ben also recently released a song titled "Upuan" as the first single from their new album.
On Tuesday, May 25, the nine-piece collective announced that they will also be dropping a "reimagined" version of their song "Leaves"—which will feature Korean artist Young K from the band Day6—as they marked their fourth anniversary as a band.
