Kapamilya actress Sunshine Cruz recently hit the beach with her daughters Angelina, Sam, and Chesca.
On Instagram these past few days, Sunshine has been busy sharing photos from their family vacation which they obviously enjoyed.
"Extended Mother’s Day bonding with my girls," she wrote in one of her captions.
In another post, Sunshine, who recently got infected with COVID-19, shared how their four-day vacation has helped her recover from the lingering aftereffects of the deadly virus.
"Covid made my lungs very weak. Even after testing negative for Covid, I’ve been having sleepless nights from coughing. I’ve declined guestings that require me to sing because of my persistent cough. I am finally better. Dagat lang pala ang kailangan ko," she said.
"Thank you Lord for the wonderful 4 days You've given me and the kids. Thank you for the gift of work, nadadala ko ang mga anak ko sa magagandang lugar. Thank You for healing me. I can finally workout. Pwede na din ulit ako kumanta," she added.
It was in late March when Sunshine, 43, got diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.
Recalling her battle with COVID-19 on Magandang Buhay, the actress said: "It was hard because I had to isolate for 21 days. Tapos alam mo 'yung parang nalulungkot na ako kasi nakikita ko 'yung mga iba na... kasi meron ding mga nag-test nang positive tapos after 14 days, they were already working out, they were with their families and their kids. So parang ako, what is happening? How come yung symptoms ko ang tagal tagal talagang nawala? Kaya nga I lost 10 pounds.
"Pero ang pinagpapasalamat ko pa rin sa Diyos, nakikita ko rin na ang dami-daming nag-ii-struggle sa hospital, nahihirapan talaga. Pero ako, I was able to survive 'yung pagkakaroon ng COVID inside my house, isolated, at wala namang nahawa kahit sino. So that alone is a blessing already."
Sunshine was last seen in the ABS-CBN series Bagong Umaga, which concluded last April.
