Actress Danica Sotto took to social media to share her message for her husband, Marc Pingris, shortly after he announced his retirement from basketball.
In an Instagram post, Danica shared how proud she is of her husband's basketball journey as she posted a throwback photo of herself in an embrace with Marc fresh off a game.
"Every time Marc has a game, especially an important one, yung tipong mga do or die games… 'di mo makakausap yan! He’s quiet and not his usual kulit self. Naka-focus talaga sa game. Minsan ilang araw pa. I give him his space kasi nag-iisip talaga 'yan nang malalim," she wrote.
"But once the game is over… he will always look for me and the kids in the crowd so he can hug us and say he loves us. 'Pag ganyan na siya sa akin, it means mission accomplished na siya. Nanalo na team nila, para sa family namin o kaya para sa bayan," she said.
According to Danica, while she will definitely miss watching her husband play, she's also looking forward to what lies ahead.
"I know God has even greater plans," she said, before expressing her gratitude to everyone who has supported her husband in his basketball career.
"Thank you so much! We are eternally grateful for all your love and support," she added.
Addressing her husband, Danica finally said: "I will be forever proud of what you’ve accomplished @jeanmarc15. I’ll always be by your side. Love you so much! #ForeverCheerleader".
It was on Tuesday, May 25, when Marc announced his retirement after 16 years in the Philippines Basketball Association or PBA.
In his post, Marc thanked Danica—his wife of 14 years with whom he has two children, Mic and Caela—for her love and support.
"To my wife, Danica, thank you for your love. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me and our family. Thank you for staying beside me, for pushing me to work harder and never give up. I love you!" he said.
